Acne Breakouts: How to Prevent

A person’s face is probably the first thing that would be noticed by a person.  Before you know one’s attitude and ability, it is the physical appearance that often catches attention. This could be a reason why many people are very particular with their faces. But as puberty hits, having facial skin problems are more likely to occur. Imagine your precious face no longer as fair as it used to be. For some people, this could be a nightmare.

Acne is one of the most common problems that affects the face. Although this could be hormonal, it usually occurs when oil or dead skin cells are accumulated and clogs the pores. Acne breakout would then soon appear and the next thing you know, acne scars are all over your face.

Countless acne treatment products and procedures were already identified in combating this problem. And as much as they are found to be effective, one more option is still existing---prevention of acne breakouts.
If you are tired of using acne scar removal products, then pay close attention to these tips that would stop you from thinking about acne treatments.

Keep it clean. The best way of preventing yourself from buying acne treatments is by keeping your face clean from dirt, oil, dust, and other similar items.  By doing so, you are not just preventing the pores from clogging but also reducing the chances of skin irritations and making your face least inhabitable for some acne causing bacteria.

Keep it light. For women who are fond of applying makeups, practice the habit of using light cosmetics or acne-friendly ones. The reason being is that makeup also causes the pores to clog especially when it is left over a longer period. Isn’t it better to use those powders less than to buy more acne treatments?

Keep it off. If you are the kind of person who is used to pick pimples or to scratch the face, then, by all means, learn to control yourself, or you might end up using acne treatments again.  Picking pimples or even by constantly touching them can cause irritation or further complications because your hands are not as clean as you usually presume.

Keep it healthy. One more important thing to remember before freeing yourself from acne treatments is to live a healthy lifestyle. Do away from stressful tasks and thinking. Secure yourself with enough time of sleep and rest. Eat healthy foods and restrain from the oily ones. Lastly, be active by at least exercising once or twice a week. It does not just promote a healthy body, but also helps in removing the oil, toxins, and dirt from the pores.

These four tips are very simple and can save you from buying acne treatments. These tips are not difficult to follow and only demands a fair amount of effort from you. Remember that the degree of effectiveness of these suggestions will depend upon your determination. Lack of discipline might lead to the exact opposite of what you desire and might cause frustration on your side. And you might find yourself in the store looking for erasing acne scar products again.

Try baking soda to scrub off dead skin cells or instant coffee for facial masks alternatives.

4.) Eat healthy foods. Nothing beats the benefits of healthy nutrition. It is imperative that what you eat will not contribute to more breakouts. The Problems of Using Acne Medication

Acne is an aggressive skin disease. Adolescents and adults both become victims to it. There has been a lot of research that has been done on the causes of acne. Most of the studies reveal that it is caused by the hormonal imbalance that occurs at the time of puberty. However, many times kids who are past that age bracket and have come into adolescence also complain of the same problem.

In many people, acne subsides on its own once the hormones reach their normal level. But sometimes it becomes a persistent issue, making the skin look scarred. It is at such times that people think about taking proper acne medication to get rid of those horrible zits and blemishes. But like all medicines, acne medication can have side effects, and occasionally they could even be severe.

Side Effects of Acne Medication

One of the common acne medications includes the component Isotretinoin. This chemical is quite strong and is usually prescribed in severe acne outburst. The chances of side effects are just as strong. Therefore, women who are pregnant or are breastfeeding their young ones are strongly advised against the use of this medicine as it could administer harmful effects on the baby.

Other less severe side effects of this product include dryness in the body which causes chapped lips. It can also originate depression or urinary infections. Headaches, nausea and thinning of the hair are some other side effects reported with the use of this acne medication.

Then there is, of course, the use of acne treatment products available at drug stores which include soap bars, gels, creams and other formulas. Though they are not proper acne medication, yet all these products still contain Benzoyl Peroxide. It is a milder agent and can be useful for continuous use. Many of the famous cosmetic brands are producing acne treatment products which contain Benzoyl Peroxide, and they are available as over-the-counter drugs.

Excessive use of Benzoyl Peroxide also results in dryness and flaking of the skin, and that too can lead to discoloration of the skin. Some people have also reported crusting and blistering of the skin. Moreover, these acne treatment products are quite expensive too.

Shiva 23 is a new product which is produced for treating acne. However, it does not have the usual acne medication in it. Instead, it is based on the component Peptidomimetic which is made from Peptides. Peptides fight to eliminate bacteria cells. Peptidomimetic was developed to especially to fight the acne bacteria which causes pimples and zits on our skin.

So far the users have not complained of any side effect. In fact, they think that it is a gentler formula for the skin which destroys the cause of acne, thereby reducing the chances of acne occurring there again. The company has launched three products initially, a cleanser, scrub and treatment formula.
